BBDNITM has obtained prestigious Lifetime membership of Indian Concrete Association

With the efforts of the Department of Civil engineering, BBDNITM has obtained prestigious Lifetime membership of Indian Concrete Association as ‘Organization Membership’ w. e. f. August 2019.
Indian Concrete Institute is the national organization of engineering professionals, employed in concrete construction and associated research in India. This is one of the premier institutes with headquarters at Chennai focusing over the training to working professionals in changing technologies in concrete constructions, promote research work in concrete technologies, publish journals on research finding, newer technologies, and solution for practical problems, collaborate with agencies employed in concrete construction, research and associated manufacturers for better adoption of the technology by working professionals. Now, students as well as faculties will be eligible and can be benefitted through researches and training, interactive sessions of professionals of this field. Also, workshops organized by ICL in the future can be organized at an institutional level.

Invited Lecture on “Spectroscopy” on 19th Nov 2019, Prof (Dr) Anil Mishra, Department of Chemistry, University of Lucknow

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Department of Chemistry BBDNITM organized an Invited Lecture on “Spectroscopy” on 19th Nov 2019, Prof (Dr) Anil Mishra, Department of Chemistry, University of Lucknow was the resource person for the event. The audience included the students of B.Tech. 1 st year ME, EE, CE & EN branches. Head of various departments, faculty members, etc. Director BBDNITM, Prof (Dr) Bhavesh Kumar Chauhan welcomed the resource person and addressed the students as well.

The topic discussed during Prof. Mishra’s lecture included an introduction to Spectroscopy, Ultra-violet Visible Spectroscopy. Infrared, Spectroscopy and Raman Spectroscopy. A part from the above Prof. Mishra discussed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy also.

The students gained a good insight into the latest developments in this field and benefited a lot. In view of the upcoming examinations, the lecture would serve as an added advantage at this hour. The students interacted with Prof. Mishra, putting up all the queries, which were answered beautifully by the resource person.

At the end of the invited lecture, the students were made to do a meditation exercise in order to manage their stress level before and during the examination. The program began with the address of Ms Tanya Singh, B.Tech., ECE, BBDNITM batch (2014-18) and PGDBM IIM Ahmedabad who was present on the occasion. She talk about her journey here at BBDNITM and at IIM Ahmedabad thereafter. Guest lecture series by Prof. (Dr.) Rajkumar S. Pant from IIT Bombay on 18th & 19th November 2019

Pant from IIT Bombay is organized by Aeronautical Department of BBDNITM at Room no: 606, E-Block, BBDNITM, Lucknow on 18th & 19th November 2019. The Guest lecture series titled as “Aerodynamics and Flight aspects for aircraft design” in which some of the special topics were covered which were very helpful in Aerospace Engg. The topics which were covered in this Guest lecture series are listed below:

  • Aircraft configuration design
  • Take-off and landing performance
  • Periodic flight testing of an aircraft
  • Range payload diagram

The event was graced by the presence of Director BBDNITM (Dr. Bhavesh Kumar Chauhan) and Head of the Aeronautical Department (Prof. C.C. Gupta), Head of Mechanical Department (Dr. R. N. Yadav), Head of CS Department (Dr. Diwakar Yagyasen), Head of EE & EN Department (Prof. Rafik Ahmad). The program was conducted & arranged successfully by the faculties of Aeronautical department Prof.Jyoti Singh, Prof. Shikha Pandey and Prof. Ajeet Kumar. This lecture series was very beneficial for the competitive exams perspective. It acquire basics of the aeronautical engineering and explained by Prof. Rajkumar S. Pant in a very good manner. The lecture series was attended by the students of the third year and fourth year of aeronautical deptt. Workshop On Career Counselling & Placement” by AKTU under TEQIP-III

A workshop for career counselling for prospective placement was organized by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (AKTU) under TEQIP-3 at BBDNITM, Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Auditorium on 26th September 2019 (Thursday). The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Dinesh Pathak, advisor AKTU, Lucknow. The workshop aimed to assist students in making and implementing informed educational and occupational choices.

Mr. Dinesh Pathak informed students about, what AKTU is planning to do in the benefits of the students, and how AKTU is channelizing the process of placement for the students.

Two days Workshop on “PYTHON AND ITS APPLICATION WITH IOT” has been successfully conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering BBDNITM, Lucknow for Second year B.Tech. CSE students in collaboration with SOFTPRO INDIA by trainer Mr. Rohit Kumar, Lucknow on 17th and 18th September, 2019.Total 175 students were part of the workshop from 9 a.m to 5 p.m . The workshop focused on introducing the students of engineering discipline to the basics of Python and its applications with IoT (Internet of Things).

The event which was taking place in the Room No. 606 E-Block of BBDNITM was formulated to be an informative one with hopes of being interactive as well for the students to get them well acquainted with concepts and ignite in them the inquisitive nature which distinguishes an engineer from the crowd.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Bhavesh Kumar Chauhan, Director of BBDNITM, and was organized by Prof. (Dr.) Diwakar Yagyasen (HOD CSE), Shadab Siddiqui and Shekhar Srivastava event coordinators. Two days Workshop on “MACHINE LEARNING USING PYTHON”

Two days Workshop on “MACHINE LEARNING USING PYTHON” has been successfully conducted by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, BBDNITM in collaboration with SOFTPRO INDIA, Lucknow , Lucknow by trainer Er. Brijesh Mishra on 19th and 20th September, 2019. From 9 a.m to 5 p.m workshop was focusing on introducing the students of engineering discipline to the basics of Machine Learning using Python.

Python is a popular open source programming language and it is one of the most-used languages in artificial intelligence and other related scientific fields. Machine learning (ML), on the other hand, is the field of artificial intelligence that uses algorithms to learn from data and make predictions.

From self-driving cars to stock market predictions to online learning, machine learning is used in almost every field that utilizes prediction as a way to improve itself. Due to its practical usage, it is one of the most in-demand skills right now in the job market.

The event which was taking place in the Room No. 606 E-Block of BBDNITM was formulated to be an informative one with hopes of being interactive as well for the students to get them well acquainted with concepts and ignite in them the inquisitive nature which distinguishes an engineer from the crowd.
