Guest Talk by Prof. Israel Koren (University of Massachusetts)
Practical approach along with the theoretical knowledge is the necessity to learn any field and guest talks enables everyone in enriching the latest updates regarding avenues for higher studies, jobs as well as the need of industries. So by keeping this in mind ‘’ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT’’ (BBDNITM, Lucknow) has organized the guest talk on 3rd Feb 2020 by Prof. Israel Koren (University of Massachusetts). He is currently a professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts; Amherst The topic of guest talk was “Fault Tolerance Techniques in Multicores Current Practice and Theory”.
We are indeed grateful and honoured that Prof. Israel Koren has graciously and readily accepted our invitation and he came over here and shared his experiences and knowledge with us.
Industrial Visit In TCS Lucknow

Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology and Management organized an Industrial visit in Tata Consultancy Services, Lucknow on 12th February 2020 along with 150 students of CSE and 50 students of IT branch and six faculty members Prof. Anurag Shukla and Prof. Zulfikar Ali Ansari were present in the 1st session (10.30-1.00 PM) and Prof. Shailja Pandey, Prof. Vinay Mishra, Prof. Gunjan Mishra, Prof. Amit Kumar Jaiswal were present in the 2nd session (2.00-4.30 PM).

The session was started with company introduction by Mr. Vishal Seth, HR TCS Lucknow; he also explained the Classical Waterfall Model and Agile Methodology for the development of Software. Mr.Kunal, HR TCS Lucknow, explained the Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing and Internet of Things.
Industrial visit to TCS was a huge success which was full of knowledge. Students got to know working methodology of a MNC company, got to know how the people are working.
This kind of interaction with industry helps to improve industry relations, create awareness about corporate standards and practices. It also helps to bridge the gap between industry and academia. It was helpful for targeted students to see and know how a Service Based Industry like TCS works and deals with their clients.

Many eminent personality presented their paper in this important and relevant topic. Prof D.S.Ray, Head, Department of Civil Engineering, BBD National Institute of Technology & Management ,Lucknow presented his paper” Grond Water Recharge. He emphasizes that safe ground water could be withdrawn when only when aquifer can recharge with proper technique.”Way to Conserve water in daily life” paper written by MS Shivangi Singh, faculty of civil engineering department, BBDNITM and Prof D. S. Ray was also published in proceeding of this seminar.
