  2. Overall Event Summary:- 

Circuit hackathon was organized by Department of CSE BBDITM, Lucknow in association with IIC BBDITM (Institute Innovation Council) for students dated26thSeptember 2024.32 teams and 160 students participated in the event . The program started with the blessings of Mrs. Alka Das Gupta, Chairperson of BBD Education Group and President Mr. Viraj Sagar Gupta. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Director, BBDITM and Dr. Anurag Tiwari, Head of Department of CSE.

About the Event:The Internal Level Smart India Hackathon 2024, held at the Stepper Hall of BBDNITM, provided an excellent platform for students to present their innovative projects. The event aimed to harness students’ technological skills and problem-solving abilities to tackle real-world challenges posed byvarious government departments and organizations.

Agenda:The primary objective of the event was to invite students to showcase their projects before anesteemed panel of jury members. It offered students an opportunity to demonstrate their expertiseacross diverse domains while receiving constructive feedback to refine their ideas further

The Internal Smart India Hackathon 2024 at BBDNITM was a resounding success, fostering a cultureof innovation and providing students with a platform to explore new ideas and solutions. FDP Day 2 on “Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security”

Description: Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized the FDP on Advanced Computing and Sustainable Technologies in collaboration with FORCE and IETE. The Speaker for Day 2 was Dr. Vibha Sinha, Associate Professor, KCC Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida. The speaker was welcomed by Dr. Shailendra Tahilyani, Convener of FDP. The FDP session on “Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security” gave a clear and simple understanding of how AI helps protect digital systems. The session started with an introduction to how AI and cyber security work together to detect and stop attacks more quickly. The speaker explained basic AI techniques like finding patterns and spotting unusual activities in networks.

She also talked about how machine learning is used to identify malware, phishing, and other cyber threats by learning from past data. Deep learning, a more advanced form of AI, was explained as a powerful method for analyzing complex threats. The session introduced several AI-based security tools that help monitor systems automatically.

Real-life applications of AI in cyber security were shared, showing how AI improves threat detection and response. The session ended with the benefits and future of AI, highlighting faster detection, better accuracy, and smarter automated security systems. The Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Rupali Agarwal, Coordinator of FDP.

BIT BY BIT CHALLENGE

1. Brief Description

Binary Brains successfully organized the “Bit by Bit Challenge”, an exciting Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) competition exclusively designed for 3rd-year students of BBDITM. The competition aimed to test and enhance students’ problem-solving abilities by presenting them with four challenging coding problems on HackerRank.

With prizes worth up to ₹5000, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from aspiring coders who were eager to demonstrate their technical expertise and competitive programming skills.

➢ Introduction

The Bit by Bit Challenge commenced at 2:00 PM with a brief introduction by Rishit Mishra and Harsh Mishra. They motivated the participants and shared valuable insights on effective problem-solving techniques and competitive programming strategies.

➢ Competition Structure

The competition consisted of four DSA problems of varying difficulty levels. Participants were required to design and implement optimal solutions within a 2-hour timeframe on the HackerRank platform. The questions were thoughtfully curated by Harsh Sharma and Shreya Singh, who also configured the contest environment.

Participants were allowed to use either their personal laptops or the systems available in the laboratory, ensuring flexibility and convenience.

The event witnessed the active participation of approximately 30 students, who showcased strong logical thinking, coding efficiency, and debugging skills. The competitive environment was filled with enthusiasm as students worked diligently to solve problems with accuracy and speed.

To recognize and appreciate the efforts of participants, prizes were awarded to the top performers as follows:

Equipping Students with Personal Grooming & Effectiveness Skills for Confidence and Growth

1. Brief Description

On November 26, 2024, a transformative workshop titled “Equipping Students with Personal Grooming & Effectiveness Skills for Confidence and Growth” was organized collaboratively by ACM and Binary Brains, in association with The Procter & Gamble Company and powered by Gillette.

The session was designed to enhance students’ personal grooming and professional effectiveness, aiming to instill confidence and prepare them for academic as well as professional success. The workshop offered a perfect blend of interactive learning and practical insights, empowering students with essential tips on personal grooming, formal etiquette, and creating a lasting impression during interviews.

FDP Day 1 on “Time delay Challenges in Real Time Systems”

Description: Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized the FDP on Advanced Computing and Sustainable Technologies in collaboration with FORCE and IETE. The Speaker for Day 1 was Dr. Vipin Chandra Pal, Assistant Professor, NIT, Silchar. The speaker was welcomed by Dr. Shailendra Tahilyani, Convener of FDP. The session on Time delay Challenges in Real Time Systems was highly insightful and intellectually stimulating. He began by highlighting the critical role of time delays in control and real-time systems, explaining how even small delays can significantly affect system stability and performance. A major focus of the lecture was the concept of Lyapunov stability for linear systems. Dr. Pal clearly explained how Lyapunov functions are constructed and used to analyze system behavior, emphasizing their importance in assessing stability under varying delay conditions. He also discussed practical approaches for handling delays, modeling techniques, and the relevance of delay-dependent and delay-independent stability criteria. His examples and systematic explanations made complex mathematical ideas accessible to participants. Overall, the session provided a strong theoretical foundation and practical insights, making it extremely valuable for researchers and practitioners working with real-time and control systems.
