1. Introduction:

The Induction Program for the 2nd and 3rd-year students was organized to provide a refreshed academic orientation and to foster a sense of community among students as they progressed into higher stages of their academic journey.

This program aimed to bridge the gap between academic years, reintroduce students to campus life, update them on curriculum changes, and guide them on expectations for the new academic session 2024–25.

The initiative also focused on enhancing students’ awareness of available academic and co-curricular opportunities, encouraging collaboration, and motivating them for career planning and personal growth. It served as a platform to connect students with faculty, mentors, and peer groups, thereby creating a supportive and engaging environment to ensure a smooth and successful academic year ahead.

4. Objective of the Program:

The primary objective of the Induction Program for 2nd and 3rd-year students for the session 2024–25 was to provide a smooth academic transition and help students align with the expectations of their new academic phase.

The program aimed to:

• Reacquaint students with the institution’s academic structure, curriculum updates, and examination patterns

• Foster interaction between students and faculty

• Encourage participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities

• Promote awareness about support services such as mentoring and counselling

• Guide students on career planning, internship opportunities, and skill development

Overall, the induction aimed to cultivate a motivated, inclusive, and growth-oriented learning environment.

The Induction Program was organized for 2nd and 3rd-year students of all branches for the academic session 2024–25. It aimed to provide uniform guidance and support to students across disciplines as they progressed into the next phase of their academic journey.

➤ Lamp Lighting Ceremony:

The program began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony led by the Head of the Department (HOD). This symbolic act marked the official commencement of the induction program and represented the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.

➤ Welcome Address by HOD:

Following the lamp lighting ceremony, the HOD delivered an insightful welcome address. He motivated the students to remain focused, disciplined, and proactive in their academic journey. He also encouraged them to explore opportunities, maintain a growth mindset, and contribute positively to their respective departments.

➤ Interactive Sessions and Activities:

Various interactive sessions were conducted to make the induction program informative and engaging. These included:

These sessions helped students understand academic expectations and prepare for the new academic year.

➤ Student Participation and Engagement:

1. Brief Description:

On 19th November 2024, Binary Brains, the official club of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, organized an industry visit to the Software Technology Park of India (STPI), Lucknow.
This visit was aimed at providing students with hands-on exposure to IT infrastructure, the incubation process for startups, and opportunities provided by STPI for budding entrepreneurs.

Mr. Rajeev Srivastava and Mr. Ravi, faculty members, accompanied the students to assist and guide them during the visit.

• The visit was approved after obtaining permissions from the Director and HOD of the department.

• A group photo was taken with the faculty and students to commemorate the beginning of this significant academic excursion.

➤ Phase 1: Server Room Tour:

Led by Ms. Disha Srivastava, students were introduced to the operational aspects of a server room.

• Topics included multiplexers, servers, and the mechanisms of providing services to users through LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network).

• This phase offered students practical exposure to the backbone of IT infrastructure and real-world applications of networking concepts.

➤ Phase 2: Incubation Center Tour:

Under the guidance of Mr. Satyam, students explored the incubation center, which serves as a hub for nurturing startups.

• He detailed the history and objectives of STPI and its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.

• Key highlights included:

  • How STPI provides office space, stipends, and funding up to ₹25 lakhs for startups

  • The PNP (Plug-and-Play) model for startups

  • The CHUNAUTI Program, enabling startups to pitch their ideas to industry experts

• Students also had an engaging session with Mr. Vinod Kumar Gautam, Head of LAITKOR Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., who provided valuable insights into the current hiring landscape and industry expectations. He patiently addressed students’ questions and offered practical advice.

➤ Phase 3: Conference Hall Presentation:

The final phase was conducted in the conference hall, where Mr. Jairam Yadav delivered an informative presentation on STPI’s mission and operations.

• He discussed the foundation, objectives, and achievements of STPI.

• Students were encouraged to think critically about their future plans, with Mr. Yadav interacting with them about their aspirations and providing guidance.

• This interactive session motivated students to leverage the resources and opportunities provided by institutions like STPI.

➤ Faculty Assistance:

Mr. Rajeev Srivastava and Mr. Ravi provided continuous support and guidance throughout the visit, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for all participants.

➤ Conclusion:

The visit was a resounding success, offering students exposure to cutting-edge IT infrastructure, startup incubation processes, and valuable industry insights.

15. Overall Event Summary: – 

A webinar on “How to plan for startup, legal and ethical steps” was organized by Department of CSE BBDITM, Lucknow in association with IIC BBDITM (Institute Innovation Council) and the Department of Humanities for faculty and students dated 22 March 2025  at 11.00 am. The program started with the blessings of Mrs. Alka das Gupta, honorable Chairperson of BBD Education Group, President Mr. Viraj Sagar Das and under the guidance of Dr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Director, BBDITM.

Our esteemed speaker Mr Manish Singh is Director and Founder- Digital Search Technologies pvt. Ltd. It was a great interactive session. The event is designed to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with a comprehensive roadmap for successfully launching their startup while ensuring legal compliance and ethical responsibility. This event will focus on the key legal requirements that every startup needs to navigate, from business registration and intellectual property protection to understanding local, state, and federal regulations. Participants also gained valuable insights into ethical decision-making frameworks, including the importance of sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and fostering a positive organizational culture.

Throughout the event, experts guided attendees on how to choose the right business structure, create legally sound contracts, avoid common legal pitfalls, and make decisions that align with ethical business practices.
