Department of Humanities and Value education cell, BBDNITM organized a free e-webinar on the topic of Manav Jeevan ke mulyankan ka Aadhar( The basis of Human Valuation) on 9th May 2020 at 4:00 p.m 5:30 p.m by Professor Rajneesh khare, HOD. MBA, Accurate Institute of Advanced Management, Greater Noida. The objective behind organising the webinar is to draw attention towards the problem and challenges being faced by people of individual, family, and environmental levels. The main reason for the problems is to focus on the external things leads to ignorance about the concern of the self. It leads to blind Race for wealth, position and jobs. Keeping this in a view Professor Rajneesh Khare discussed that the basis of Human valuation ( Manav Jivan ke mulyankan ka Aadhar) shows that every person would inculcate the values which would lead to success and prosperity to everyone. He also responded to the queries of participants.

At the end of the programme Dr. Pooja Singh, HOD Humanities Department and Convenor of Value Education Cell, BBDNITM, gave vote of thanks to speaker Professor Rajneesh Khare sir, Chairperson Smt. Alka Das Gupta ma’am, Director Professor Dr. Bhavesh Kumar Chauhan sir, Team Member of Value Education Cell and all the participants who were present in the seminar and announced that e- certificates will be provided to all the participants after the session.

The Humanities Department of BBDNITM undertook and successfully organised the STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM for the students of BBDNITM. The main purpose of the program was to enhance students Perception and Cognitive Thinking Abilities.

Events & activities are planned & organized by the students themselves, which provides them an opportunity to learn ideation, planning & execution, team & resource management, time management etc. and helps them to develop life skills. Student Development Programme Consists of following activities.

1. Teach collaboration as a value and skill set.
2. Build on evaluation and analysis.
3. Teach tolerance and resilience.
4. Help students learn through their strengths.
5. Use learning beyond the classroom.
Student Development Theory is a composition of psychological findings that are centered around or are applicable to college students. Student Development Theory is important in Higher Education because it allows Student Affairs practitioners to more fully understand the changes many college students are going through.

Entries were open for the students of 1ST and 2nd Year of BBDNITM. The session was conducted on ZOOM (Video Conferencing Platform).
It was a 3 day Program which consisted of 6 sessions .1st session was for a particular group total,in total 6 groups were formed by their respective GCs.
The sessions were held under the guidance of
Yashdeep Bajpai(Final Year, GS Karmavesh).

Process that was followed:
Step 1- Creation of an advertising poster for the popularity of the program.
Step 2- Creation of a Google form for the inviting of the details of students.
Step 3- Creation of a group for all the participants to provide necessary I information related to the sessions.
Step 4- . Creation of another Google form for the feedback and quiz of the Students .
Step 5- E-Certificate distribution was done as per the attendance.

The program was conducted as per the instructions of Humanities Department of BBDNITM.

Time duration :1hr.
Students were allowed to clear their doubts if any.

Mr Yashdeep Bajpai smoothly conducted the whole session and elaborated everyone about Perception and Cognitive Thinking Abilities. Participants were also provided with the pdf with some facts.
The program ensured engaging of students in healthy sessions, keeping them interested and putting their creative minds to work during this time of the lockdown due to coronavirus.

The Humanities Department of BBDNITM undertook and successfully organised the Online Literary Event -Lexicon2020 for Poetry, Haiku and Slogan Writing.
Entries were open from 26th April to 28th April.
Competition and submission date was on 29th April.

This included participants from all colleges under the BBDEG and other colleges as well.

Itl consisted of one single round where participants submitted their content through Google Form.
Process that was followed:
Step 1- Creation of an advertising poster for the popularity of the event.
Step 2- Creation of a Google form for the inviting of the details of participants.
Step 3- Creation of a group or portal for the submission of the participants work.
Step 4- After the completion of submission, formation of the jury panel.
Step 5- The judgement procedure to be completed within the stipulated time.
Step 6- Result declaration through e-mail and E-declaration.
Step 7- Certificate and prize distribution as the lock-down allows.

The poetry or haiku were written on these themes- Oblivion or Togetherness.
Poetry/Haiku had to be closely associated with the theme.
Slogan writing had the theme as “Corona pandemic”.

Plagiarism of any sort was considered to be ground for disqualification.
The Haiku didn’t follow the 5-7-5 syllable rule rather it followed the 5-7-5 word rule.
The marking was done solely on the content quality and the way of recitation and original writing.
All three languages were allowed namely English, Hindi and Urdu for the medium of writing. But only the Roman script and Devanagari Script were acceptable.

All three of them were judged separately. A single individual could enter multiple entries in any of the categories. The written text was to be submitted in the form of pdf or with the video of the recitation.

The imagination and creativity were used to flutter away at the writing.

The event ensured engaging of students in healthy literary activities, keeping them interested and putting their creative minds to work during this time of the lockdown due to coronavirus.
