Two days Workshop on “PYTHON AND ITS APPLICATION WITH IOT” has been successfully conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering BBDNITM, Lucknow for Second year B.Tech. CSE students in collaboration with SOFTPRO INDIA by trainer Mr. Rohit Kumar, Lucknow on 17th and 18th September, 2019.Total 175 students were part of the workshop from 9 a.m to 5 p.m . The workshop focused on introducing the students of engineering discipline to the basics of Python and its applications with IoT (Internet of Things).

The event which was taking place in the Room No. 606 E-Block of BBDNITM was formulated to be an informative one with hopes of being interactive as well for the students to get them well acquainted with concepts and ignite in them the inquisitive nature which distinguishes an engineer from the crowd.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Bhavesh Kumar Chauhan, Director of BBDNITM, and was organized by Prof. (Dr.) Diwakar Yagyasen (HOD CSE), Shadab Siddiqui and Shekhar Srivastava event coordinators. Two days Workshop on “MACHINE LEARNING USING PYTHON”

Two days Workshop on “MACHINE LEARNING USING PYTHON” has been successfully conducted by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, BBDNITM in collaboration with SOFTPRO INDIA, Lucknow , Lucknow by trainer Er. Brijesh Mishra on 19th and 20th September, 2019. From 9 a.m to 5 p.m workshop was focusing on introducing the students of engineering discipline to the basics of Machine Learning using Python.

Python is a popular open source programming language and it is one of the most-used languages in artificial intelligence and other related scientific fields. Machine learning (ML), on the other hand, is the field of artificial intelligence that uses algorithms to learn from data and make predictions.

From self-driving cars to stock market predictions to online learning, machine learning is used in almost every field that utilizes prediction as a way to improve itself. Due to its practical usage, it is one of the most in-demand skills right now in the job market.

The event which was taking place in the Room No. 606 E-Block of BBDNITM was formulated to be an informative one with hopes of being interactive as well for the students to get them well acquainted with concepts and ignite in them the inquisitive nature which distinguishes an engineer from the crowd.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof (Dr.) Bhavesh Kumar Chauhan, Director, BBDNITM and organized by Prof. (Dr.) Diwakar Yagyasen (HOD-CSE), Mr. Shadab Siddiqi and Mr. Shekhar Srivastava (Event Coordinator) and all the faculty members and other distinguished guests in the field of engineering.

The Institution of Engineers(India), UP State Center has organized 52nd Engineers Day Celebration to commemorate 159th Birth day of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya on 15th September,2019 at IEI, UP State center, River Bank Colony, Lucknow. The Theme of this Engineer`s Day Celebration was “Engineering For Change”. Key note speaker was Er. S. K. Pandey, Scientist, ISRO, Department of Space, Govt of India. As ouvenior was also published in which Paper “Engineering for Change” of Prof D.S.Ray,Head,and Prof Ashwani Kumar Pandey ,Department of Civil Engineering, BBD National Institute of Technology & Management ,Lucknow was also published.

Report on Sewage Treatment Plant Tour

The Department of Civil Engineering, Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology & Management, Lucknow organized a visit to Sewage Treatment Plant-Bharwara, Lucknow on September 7th 2019 for a group of students of Civil Engineering from V Semester, III Year. The students were accompanied by the faculty members. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the students with the procedure of municipal waste water treatment and reuse.
The Bharwara Sewage Treatment treatment plant receives sewage from total Trans Gomti side including Indira Nagar, Gomti Nagar and Sitapur road areas conveying sewage which is sanctioned under Gomti Action Plan Phase?II. It has the Capacity to treat 345MLD waste water through Length of trunk and branch sewer lines of around 860km.The visits include presentations and demonstration by team members of project engineers, who explain all the details and benefits of project. The visit was quite helpful for the students to get the practical knowledge regarding the functioning and process of municipal waste water treatment plant.

Eight Days Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values and Professional Ethics

Universal Human Values & Professional Ethics Workshop has been conducted by Babu Banarsi Das National Institute of Technology & Management in its campus, Lucknow. It was Eight Days Workshop starting from 28th May to 04th June 2019. BBDNITM (054) is recognized as nodel centre of “Value Education” through AKTU, Lucknow. The Workshop was inaugurated with the Lamp Lighting ceremony and Saraswati pooja by the Director, Dr. (Prof.) B. K.Chauhan, Value Education Cell convener Dr. Pooja Singh & her team members & HOD’s of concerned Departments.

The resource person of this Workshop was Shri Pankaj Singh Ji. In this Workshop 21 Participants of various colleges participated. The main objective of this workshop was to motivate & encourage people to realize the need of right understanding in human beings and inculcate values & principles in the present scenario of today’s world.

In this workshop all the participants mainly discussed about self realization also their relationship with self, society, nature & with their family and near dear ones. This workshop mainly focused on the relationship building aspects of human beings with the other individual and its duty toward the society and nature.

Overall the Faculty Development Program was quite successful and enriching in BBDNITM (054), Lucknow. In future also we are looking forward to conduct such fruitful faculty development program on universal human values & Professional Ethics.

Feb 4-8 , 2019, Lucknow: Electrical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department, BBDNITM organized – five days short term course on “Science and Technology for Sustainable Development” through ICT with “National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research” (NITTTR), Chandigarh.

Honorable guests – Prof.(Dr.) Subodh Wariya, Prof. (Dr.) S.M.K Rizvi, Shri P.K. Saxena, Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Monica Mehrotra, Prof.(Dr.) Bhavesh Kumar Chauhan, Prof. (Dr.) S.H. Abdi were invited for inauguration with ribbon cutting ceremony.
Prof. (Dr.) Subodh Wariya, chief guest, who is Head of Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of IET College remarked the audience by addressing with his golden words that Sustainable Development and technology are correlated with each other.
Organizing members are – Prof. Rafik Ahmad (HoD), Prof. Fazlur Rahman, Prof. Adesh Kumar Mishra, Prof. Shivanand, Prof. Kalpana Kureel, Prof. Mrinalini, Prof. Shahab Ahmad, Mr. Krishna Mishra Prof. Nikita Gupta and Prof. Apoorva Srivastava. A seminar on “Introduction to Product Life Cycle Management and Interview Etiquettes”

A seminar on “Introduction to Product Life Cycle Management and Interview Etiquettes” was organized by the Computer Science & Engineering Department in cooperation with TCS, Lucknow on September 19, 2018. The distinguished guests from TCS were Mr. Vishal Seth, Mr. Naveen K. Verma and Ms. Priyadarshini Shah.

Mr. Naveen K. Verma enlightened the students on the topic of Product Life Cycle Management which is an important part of the computer science domain as it co-relates process, product and people. It takes into account the product inception and continues till the product is fully developed which is what the students are learning to do. The students gained a lot of new information from the speaker.

Then Ms. Priyadarshini Shah shared her experience of interview with the students and gave them expert tips and advices on how to face an interview. She also educated them on the attires and etiquettes they need to follow to be able to impress the interviewer. This was very well received by the pre-final and final year students. The lecture was very informative and interesting for both students as well as faculty of CSE.

The Seminar was graced by Mr. Vishal Seth (Liasioning officer, TCS), Dr. S.H. Abdi (CoE, BBDNITM) & Mrs. Shubha Mishra (HoD, CSE BBDNITM). The seminar was attended by over 200 students as well as faculty members of Computer Science & Engineering department.

A seminar on “Data-Warehousing and Agile Methodologies”

A seminar on “Data-Warehousing and Agile Methodologies” was organized by the Department of Information Technology in cooperation with TCS, Lucknow on September 25, 2018.

A seminar was conducted by eminent personalities from TCS, Mr. Asish Upadhay (Database Architect and Performance Engineer) and Mr. Vishal Seth (Academic Relationship Manager) in BBDNITM. Ashish is having close to 13 years of IT experience with most of it in the area of Business Intelligence and Vishal is having more than 15 years of IT experience. He has worked in multiple roles including Project Manager, Technical Architect and Agile Coach. This workshop was organized by Department Information Technology. Mr. Ashish provided hands-on activities relating to Data Warehousing while Mr. Vishal Seth provided an insight about how actually Agile methodologies are beneficial for the organization.

The eminent personalities present were Prof. Prabal Chakraborty, Director BBDNITM , Prof.(Dr) S.H. Abdi,COE- BBDNITM,Lucknow ; Prof. Richa Sharma HOD-IT along with all other students and faculty members attended the workshop.

This seminar will help the students to update themselves regarding industry requirements and career opportunities in Agile and Datawarehouse .
